A private cabin is not automatically better than a shared desk. It solves a different problem. Some teams need a room where they can work together without being spread across a shared area. Others value individual seats and only gather for occasional meetings. At Dansa, the decision is particularly concrete: a four-person cabin costs ₹30,000 per month, and four fixed desks at ₹7,500 each also total ₹30,000.
Start with the conversations you have every day
Think about an ordinary morning. Are people reviewing work together, calling clients, concentrating independently or moving between all three? A cabin can give a small team a consistent enclosed base. It does not by itself solve competing conversations inside the room. Four people on simultaneous calls may still need to plan how they use the space.
A shared workstation can suit people whose work is mostly independent and who are comfortable with the surrounding activity. For a client session or a group discussion, the separate meeting room may be the right setting. Visit during working hours and listen to the environment. Neither “private” nor “coworking” tells you everything about the sound conditions you will experience.
Compare the three four-person arrangements
| Arrangement | Regular monthly total | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Four open workstations | ₹28,000 | Flexible seats, not a permanently assigned cluster |
| Four fixed workstations | ₹30,000 | Assigned desks within the shared workspace |
| One four-person private cabin | ₹30,000 | An enclosed cabin booked as a complete unit |
At full occupancy, the cabin equivalent is ₹7,500 per person, the same as each fixed workstation. Both arrangements total ₹30,000 per month for four people. That is useful arithmetic, but it is not a reason to ignore the actual room or the team’s attendance pattern. A cabin should be chosen for what enclosure and a shared base add to your work. An empty cabin seat does not reduce the bill
The four-person cabin is rented as a whole. A two-person team using it still pays the listed ₹30,000 monthly cabin rate. That may be a deliberate choice when it wants its own room, but it is not the same commitment as buying two ₹7,500 fixed desks. The website does not sell spare cabin seats individually to unrelated occupants.
If you expect to recruit, distinguish a confirmed need from a possibility. Ask about current availability and future options, but do not build the budget around a promised expansion arrangement that has not been agreed. For a solo professional, the single-seater cabin is a separate ₹9,000 option. There is no need to take a team cabin just to obtain an enclosed personal workspace.
Check storage and equipment in the exact space
Dansa provides lockers for each person and for each cabin. During the visit, see how your everyday equipment would fit around the working area and in storage. Bring dimensions or a photograph of any unusual setup. An extra monitor, specialist hardware or a lot of paper files can change what feels comfortable even when the number of seats is correct.
Do not assume that images showing laptops mean laptops are supplied. Ask which equipment is part of your arrangement and plan to discuss your own devices. A cabin is also not automatic permission to make changes to fixtures or leave any item indefinitely. Those details belong in the agreement. Our tour checklist helps you review the working setup without getting distracted by the first impression.
Keep meetings separate from monthly seating
The four-person cabin and the six-person meeting room are different spaces. Booking a cabin does not mean an external meeting room is automatically reserved whenever you need it. Meeting-room credits are available with workspace memberships; the team should confirm the allocation, booking process and any additional charges for your selected plan.
This matters when a team regularly hosts clients or needs more seats for a discussion. The public meeting-room rate is ₹400 per hour for the room, subject to booking confirmation. Think about the number and duration of sessions you expect each month, then include that expectation in the quote conversation. A room booked for working is not automatically a room booked for visiting groups.
Make the final comparison about the agreement
Both shared monthly desks and monthly cabins have a one-month security deposit. Standard access is 9 AM–8 PM, six days a week. 24×7 access is available on request, subject to confirmation, with extra charges. Compare the relevant deposit, agreed hours and allowances alongside the recurring fee. The cost guide separates those parts of the commitment.
Tour a cabin and the shared area on the same visit. Ask the team to quote the two arrangements you are genuinely considering, and write down why one would make the workday better. You can enquire about a private cabin or compare all workspaces first. A good decision does not need a grander office description; it needs a clear fit for your people, equipment and everyday routine.
